On the last day of our trip activities, we
woke up and had some crumpets (I really like crumpets) and got ready to go to
our English classes, I was disappointed to learn that we didn’t swap the
teachers with the other groups because we already had Rosie and Nicolas the day
before but anyway. In the afternoon, we should have left the school to go hiking
but as the weather wasn’t good we couldn’t (sandy had predicted it!). That’s
why we returned to Exeter in the museum where we couldn’t go on Monday. I didn’t
really like this museum, there are some museums that I really enjoy visiting
but to my mind, this one wasn’t interesting, I didn’t understand the connection
between the different things that we could see. On top of that, I thought that
we had too much time for this museum which was pretty small. After that, we had
some time left, so the teachers gave us some free time to have another walk in Exeter,
I was really happy as it was an area that I really enjoyed, especially for
shopping.

Then, we took the bus to go to a little village (whose name I’m trying
to remember but I can’t) and have a cream tea. On the road, Calvin taught us
some things about the region and we learned how to eat our cream tea properly.
We arrived and had the famous cream tea. I had already eaten scones that I really
liked but I had never tasted the clotted cream. I liked it too. To talk about
the tea, I didn’t like it but I’m not a big fan of tea so it doesn’t matter. Then,
we had a little visit of the church which was close, it was a little gloomy as
the weather was very bad, it was raining and the day light was dark. Everybody was
not in a very happy mood as we knew that it was the last thing that we would do
in our trip. Finally, that was the end of the day, we took the bus and went back
to our host families, everybody was sad L. For dinner, Mark
had cooked some baked pasta with tomato sauce, cheese, tomatoes and chickpeas. That
was really good! We also ate some vanilla ice cream. To end the night, Sandy
told us that they had a Jacuzzi in their garden, so we went outside to see it. We
were so surprised when we saw the huge Jacuzzi with lights everywhere! That was
really beautiful. It’s a pity that we couldn’t go into it! We finally went to
bed, that was the last night at Sandy’s and Mark’s.
